John Muir Hiking Quotes
John Muir was a Scottish-born American naturalist whose writings were extremely influential in preserving landscapes, specifically near Yosemite National Park and the Sierra Nevadas.
In 1901, Muir published Our National Parks which attracted the attention of President Theodore Roosevelt. Then in 1903, Roosevelt visited Yosemite with Muir and this became the inspiration for Roosevelt to create America’s National Park system.
